Greetings from paradise
Hi there – and thanks for dropping by. I’m Maggie McGuinness and I write romance and rom-com novels. I live in the bottom right-hand corner of Australia in a remote coastal town called Mallacoota, AKA ‘paradise’ to those of us lucky enough to live here. My housemate and best friend is a rescue dog called Tilly, an Australian cattledog cross, who is very cute and stars in lots of my Instagram photos – see below!

After the Black Summer bushfires devastated our town on New Year’s Eve 2019, I worked in the community-led recovery space, spending more than four years supporting MADRA – the Mallacoota and District Recovery Association. It was a privilege to work beside the amazing volunteers on the committee and play a part in Mallacoota’s recovery.
I’m also a freelance writer, copy editor and proofreader, and for fun, I volunteer on local radio: Mallacoota Genoa Broadcasting – 3MGB, your voice in the Wilderness! I love being a part of the indie author community, and I’m hoping that one day I’ll be living the dream – spending most of my days working on my own books, while wearing pjs and drinking far too much coffee. That would be bliss!
